320 ha of national land allocated for solar power plant development in Qazvin
Qazvin – A total of 320 hectares of national land in Buin Zahra County, located in the northwestern province of Qazvin, have been allocated to the private sector for the construction of a 195-megawatt solar power plant, according to the Qazvin Agricultural Organization.
Speaking to Mehr News Agency, Mehdi Rahmandoost, Director of Land Affairs for the province, said the land transfer supports this year’s national economic priorities and reflects the government’s commitment to fostering investment and production-oriented development.
“This project is designed to spur regional growth and enhance energy production in the province,” he said.
The official noted that once operational, the solar plant will add 195 megawatts to Qazvin’s electricity generation capacity, marking a significant contribution to the province’s clean energy supply and reducing dependency on fossil fuels.
The site, located in the Ebrahimabad area of Buin Zahra, has been strategically selected to support large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, Rahmandoost said.
